I though Dwarves were mortally offended by the word “Dwarfs.” I guess that must be the Dwarven “N-word” in that only Dwarves can say it.

The site of the last battle was where the party fought the first four undead Firbolgs in the ruins of the old fort. The location is not far from the long house. Just to save some time the long house is wooden but seems to have a heavy magic aura. You will have had a night to rest if you so desire. I’m still open to questions.

Do we know if the Scepter or signet ring have magic powers? I’m going to go out on a limb and assume that if they do, the witch or one of her top boss guys are using them. It’d be nice to know what they do. History knowledge anyone?

Other things some of your toons may remember chapter four.:
A while back you met two Yokel’s with red hair and beards (Flin and Jud) on the road between White Rocks and Storyside. They gave you information about the undead Firboug Queen. They were non-threating but left abruptly when Azercane started casting spells.

A deal was struck with the Frog People (Ford) in exchange for their help in dealing with the black dragon that safe passage would be found for them to a new home if the Firboug swamp curse was lifted.

    Ford doesn’t like Dwarves.

Baroness Felisha Ranlor (third generation niece to King Ranlor) asked you all to be her champions and return the signet ring and scepter to her

An envoy (Sabastion Duboise) for Earl Demitery Burgrty (Cousin three time removed to King Ranlor) offered to give Lord Ford 10K in gold and governorship of White Rocks or Storyside for the return of the scepter and signet ring.

A deal for the bars Mithril and Adamantine with the Dwarves in Storyside (Rupert) but was overruled by Azercane (RIP).
Whiterocks can muster a militia of about 200 in times of great need.
The villages of Riverdown, Whiterocks and Storyside were still loyal to the King before he was lost in the Battle of White Oaks.
Talindor was the Capitol of Southgate.
Talindor, Pebble Beach, Martindell, Eastrereach, Riverdown, Whiterocks and Storyside made up Southgate.
    The swamp is drying.
The Drow Cleric used a word of recall when she left the party.

Oh and as a general rule people don’t care very much for Elves. (Think the French.)

The Baroness probably won’t be happy that she got dissed. Any intel we have on her, her available forces and any links to the Earl Burgty would be helpful. Knowledge local which I have. Would they consider using force to take what they perceive to be theirs?

I believe Malus has the bag of holding? The Bars of Mithril and Adamantine will be delivered to the Dwarves in Storyside as a gestor of goodwill. No compensation needed other than a good word should the kingdom need the help of the dwarves. There will also be special route provisions made for the selling and transport of their gems. Taxes will be fair and the use of the taxes will be laid out and include benefits for the Dwarves.

Emissaries will be sent post haste to Riverdown and Storyside to shore up our closest ‘friends’. A trip to Southgate will be in order I assume when time permits.

Off fighting Giants but once back in Storyside….

    1) Check to see if Thieves guild is present and if so, do they communicate with others like Whiterocks.
    2) Make sure the Baroness knows that her new ‘man’ was off killing giants. Also make sure she gets to experience the youthful exuberance of a young man who has been off killing giants.
    3) Firm up the agreement with the Dwarves. Guarantying safe passage on the Kingdom roads will require building up Kingdom troops. They may have to give us a hot minute to get this accomplished.
    4) Establish scheduled caravans between Storyside and Whiterocks to start so we can see how it goes. Mead, gems, crops, fish…all travel together with plenty of support. Start with small shipments to test possible hostile forces on the route.
    5) Find out where we go next. How do we organize under one united flag? High ranking captains will be needed. I think Malius and Ford would be good for vetting these.

When the Elf can focus on scouting rather than entertaining ways to kill Norlin he learns a great deal. There is a war party of six fire giants and maybe four hellhounds heading for Storyside. The war party is not all together, the scout and hellhounds stay out in front of the main group by approximately 500 yards. In the main group the leader appears to be skilled, well armored, there is an armored healer and of the other three, one seems to be carrying extra rocks. This war party has military type discipline.

Yep. Looks like we got a big fight on our hands, boys.

Doogan, is this considered Forest terrain when we meet them?

    Nope sorry Mountainous.

Is Invisibility mass something we are capable of yet? I’m fairly sure that Strum and Eye can stay out of sight as needed either way. Taking rocks to the face for a couple hundred yards as we advance might not be the best strategy. Not that anyone is recommending that but I could see one or two bloodlust types just charging in.
