    Tippy Smallfoot

Smallfoot is unfortunately more descriptive than Tippy would like. A family trait that often left Tippy and the males in his family as outcast. Small feet on a halfling are still larger than any full grown humans but they are an embarrassment nonetheless. Their last name had not always been Smallfoot but after a few generations of smaller than average feet the name came and to this day the cycle small feet has yet to be broken and so the last name stuck.

Not only is Tippy cursed with nearly human sized feet, but his features also resemble that of a young human boy more than those of a halfling. A double whammy of injustices. Despite being dealt a bad hand in life, Tippy has strived to turn his disadvantages to advantages. His looks have allowed him to walk around in human towns and unburden the less perceptive of their extras. All the while drawing no more attention than any other youngster with a wooden sword and imaginary friends to duel with.

Since the raid last winter on their village of modest hillside hovels, Tippy has been spending all his time making a go of it in the city of Korhan which lies a good distance from his home. He had seen a few others escape the slaughter when the Ogres showed up. There was little Sally Bluemoss and her brother Kraley, old woman Julia Brandyoak and Tippy’s friend, Freely Undertoe. Most of the others he assumed were killed including his father, sister, mother and grand gran.

He had stayed hidden among the Gardenia overlooking the village for two days watching as the Ogres ransacked every Halfling hovel. Too much of a cowered to fight the Ogre and too hopeful to leave. The smell of gardenia disgusted him now, their heavenly smell conjured up nightmares of death and destruction of all he loved.

The raid that left him homeless was months ago. He had, had time to recover and now needed some real direction in his life. Something new, something to take his mind of his troubles. Too much more time here in Korhan and he would surely get caught pickpocketing as his boredom was leading to a bit of carelessness.

Something was going on in Korhan however and it seemed like a new path might be revealing itself just in time.

You left me hanging with how you escaped the ogre, little buddy. I always thought I could take an ogre, but from your description they aren’t to be confronted lightly. Next ogre we see, I’ll keep his attention while you cut his tendons.

I’m ashamed to admit it but after a couple of days I gave up hope that any of my family were still alive and I snuck off into the woods and never looked back. I saw an Ogre rip the arm right off of poor Deela Honeytree. He then smiled as she screamed, then he ripped a big bite from her arm as she watched in horror. They are big, powerful and evil beyond compare.
