Peter, the bastard son of the Lorman’s, has taken on a host of men from Lokistan. They’re searching for soldiers and deserters. They’re searching for you and what you search for. With them rides Maclin, no longer needed for the assault on The Gate as Stormshield has made great strides in pushing back the mass of red-eyed beasts. They expect to soon reach and secure The Gate.
A falcon is spotted as the party travels to Sandrypha and soon after wolves lead the assault. But the wolves are no match, though the party that follows is well armed and Peter is accompanied by young cleric.
The party elects not to surrender and holds their own against the powerful group but starts to lose ground until Shade finds them with a wizard gnome, Merthin, riding his own wolf and casting fireballs.
Peter’s cleric girlfriend casts a word of recall, leaving behind 2 dead a few horses.
Shade:
A number of the Handaris Mage Council have left Handaris with coded instructions to find what may be a direction to find this seventh wizard. This map you’ve recovered may give you passage to the tent city in the Savage Lands. There you may find a giant by the name of Precious. The last I knew of him, he had surrounded himself with many offspring, they were a formidable force that called themselves the young giants. I remember him as the Baby Giant.
The red eyes are of demonology. If such is true, only the seventh wizard may help you. But you’ll get no audience with him without the amulet that Precious once carried. It once opened a powerful demon gate and is an amulet that Quenn Bashira has been pursuing for years.
The seventh wizard is Mahsra. I cannot say whether he’s friend or enemy, but if there is a way to defeat this incursion, he will know how. None have an idea to where he is, but you will be tested to find him.
If you make it through his test, I trust it will lead you to where you must go. I won’t tell you what more you’ll find, as should you fail, the enemy will know what you know.
Merthin and I go to collect more who escaped Handaris. We’ll be confronting the Red Suns and seek out the six sorcerers. But the Mage Hunters are a significant threat to all that use magic. They’re to be avoided.
