The party left the room of fire behind and encountered Aedon, possessed by Kindred. She didn’t last long against the party. Following the hallway, it leads to 2 doors, one barred and chained on the side of the hallway and the other looks more recent as if the 5” tunnel to it was melted into the stone. Looking down the thin hallway, they could see the door moving, as if alive.
The door crawled with tortured souls who cried out in anger.
A very evil Raw Specter gave them a tough time before dissipating back into the group of tortured souls.
The party knocked the door off its hinges, revealing a long and evil looking hallway. A figure was at the dark end, 80 feet away. It may have been more than one.

The party opted for the chained door, which lead to the outside. Outside, it looks like a secret passage the seals up behind itself.
The Temple of Peylor was across the street. A blue nimbus rims the entire temple. A dozen guards wandered around as this has been going on for days without change.

A trio of figures, nothing more than wisps of blue nimbus, walked guard around the interior perimeter of the compound, which is 100 ft on each side.
Any of the party who were not of good alignment could not break the seal of the holy barrier to enter.

Having all the ingredients for potions of youth except for the Aberration blood, the party used one of two charges on the Staff of Portals to get back to the safe haven.\\

The only Aberration the party had seen was with the Kindred Naiad.

On the trip, the party met Regov, the Ent. He promised assistance if a clear target was identified.

Approaching, they found both the Naiad and the Aberration, each having grown/advanced as they had. The fight was fierce and several of the party almost saw behind the final veil.

The party made their way, with the aberration blood, to the haven.

From conversations, songs, and instructions, you find out the following:

Asimarn will work on the potions but it will take him a few days. He will give you two Haste scrolls (9 rounds). It takes him so long now as he is so tired.
He’s been trying to divine where magic auras are coming from and he suggests a powerful aura is coming from Castle Krendale, Heren Rosmarden’s Castle. It’s complete ruins but something festers beneath it.

    Dalia Sunsong offers:

A castle bright with fires alight
    The knights stood sixty strong
    Come mornings dawn
    All were gone
Evil won the day with might

    In dungeon deep
    The dead may sleep
But he who killed them wakes
    He tests his sword
    A spoken word
    The castle wails and shakes

    From the ongoing rumor mill:
Trular Barigan, Champion of Pelor, disappeared 50 years ago. A dozen rumors of foul play have come and gone over the years.

Heren Rosmarden was the lord of Castle Krendale in its final days. The castle was overtaken by evil beasts that still reside within today. No one should go there.

Rosmarden was fond of both constructs and stone. Rumor has it that his creatures still protect that which needs not protecting.

Sounds like a Castle raid is in order, even if it is just ruins. More undead it seems. Prep accordingly.

Don’t mind me, just a bit of light dusting.

I just heard the Doogin was spotted hiding out in the old brothel in the north part of town…err ruins. Perhaps we can capture him and force him to tell us stuff? You know stupid stuff like a reminder of what we are doing this for and what we need to remember.

    The Cut Scene
As the Harpies descended on the part and their 54 charges, arrows flew and out heroes fought them with axes and swords as the harpies swooped low enough to attempt to grab the more hapless of the good citizens of Everton Wells.

After a relatively short battle, six of more than 20 harpies lay either dead on the ground or in the branches of the trees. Eighteen of the peasantry were hauled off by the rest.
As the party helped those remaining to the gorge and into the wind tunnel, the Baron passed away.

Within the bowels of the castle ruins you currently crawl resides an evil. None are so evil as those who used to be so good.
The Cloakers are in your way. There be giants ahead. The giants grow as they anger, the cloakers just kill you.

Within the Brazier is the Holy Scepter of Barigan. It will transform into whatever cleric-usable weapon the wielder wishes within 24 hours of possession. +5 Divine. Does 1d6 holy damage to evil on hit for each level divine spell channeled into it. Smite Evil as paladin of equal level 1 X day. Does not stack. Can cast Searing Light 1X day. Flame Strike 1X Day (8d6),
If a neural or evil creature touches the Scepter, it will deal 6d6 to him 1X per round.
Divine Smite: Break staff with command word to do 10d10+100 to all outsiders in 30 ft radius.

+5 Spear of Outsider Slaying. Does 1d8+3 against any normal creature, or 12d8+75 against any outsider, no DR. One use. Crits on 19 or 20. DC 20 or destroyed on a hit (DC 5).
Fast Heal 1 per rnd. Removes all afflictions within 24 hours.

On the Spear: What adds are there for the DC? The wording there is a bit confusing too, DC 20 or destroyed on a hit (DC5). DC 20 or DC 5?

    “What the hell?”
“Yeah I know. Anyway, there seems to be some movement over in Esteria. Might want to check that out.”
“Thanks nerd. I think I will.”
“Nerd? You got nerve, I ain’t the one talking to myself in a fantasy world chat.”

    A Recap
Many generations ago, Alduaine, a minor god, was slain by Peylor. Alduaine was a good god but proud and got himself into a bad state with Peylor.
Everton Wells was ground zero for a horrific event that cracked a chasm around the barony.
Turns out, the event was caused by three fallen angels, the last of Alduaine’s Avatars. With them, the brought the Kindred, evil creatures that infuse their essence into other creatures, causing them become both more powerful and evil.
On top of this, the crack caused a device of immense power to be unleased, which sends wave after wave of aging across the land. Rumor has it that it’s in Blamar’s Tower, which disappeared a few generations ago.

It’s been revealed that the three celestials have been draining the life from the citizens of Everton Wells, which will be used to attempt to raise Alduaine from the dead.

    Enter our heroes.

To date they have defeated one of the three celestials.

At present, they have delved deeply into the caverns across from the temple of Peylor. After defeating many trials, they stand on the doorstep of what they assume is one of the remaining two celestials. However, the previous fallen angel our heroes defeated had a powerful champion. Despite the trials to get this far, what lies beyond the door is likely going to be a challenge.

A party of fallen and Kindred are searching for the heroes. They have made their lair the Copper Cockatrice.

    The goals:
    1. Stop the Avatars. They are evil.
    2. Find the aging device.
    3. Save the world.
